then there's a teary one at 20:10 when he's lying on the floor, and the break down at 20:42 )

Ooh, I just recently watched all four series of Mad Dogs and loved it.
The second scene is a beautiful example of crying/comforting.
Climbing to a high chamber in a well of houses, he threw himself down in his clothes on a neglected bed, and its pillow was wet with wasted tears. -- A Tale of Two Cities

Brief one of Philip Glenister (series 2), though it's a long shot and you can't see his face.
Series 4 has John Simm sobbing, but you can't see his face either.

Incidentally, John Simm and Marc Warren are good friends, going back to when they appeared in Boston Kickout together in 1995. (Warren also appeared with him and Philip Glenister in an episode of Life on Mars.)
