Cute Mexican operatic tenor Rolando Villazon (yes, I know he looks like Rowan Atkinson!) who had a vocal-chord issue some years ago and temporarily lost his singing voice, talks about that trying experience.  In the course of the interview he mentions crying when he realized he could sing again; at the very end he gets slightly choked up talking about the act of performing.  Be sure to watch the whole video, as the emotional moments are spread out:
