Thanks, it sounds like I need to find that movie now lol

Steven Strait breaks down sobbing in the bathroom over the impending loss of his sister in Here Awhile.
Riz Ahmed in Sound of Metal, in bed with his girlfriend who also has tears on her face.
Michael Hsu Rosen on Jessica Jones 3x6 after the death of his father.
Martin Henderson on Virgin River 2x5, realizing he missed his chance to make an important phone call. Now that he's a little older than when he was the uninvolved dad in The Ring, he's got lots of great lines on his face that scrunch up just beautifully when he makes a cryface.
Jonny Lee Miller has a couple quick sobbing moments in Trainspotting fairly close together. I just had to cut out the bits where they show the baby.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan has a nice little sobbing scene in The Postcard Killings, breaking down in grief over his daughter, and being comforted by a female coworker (I think).
I've been a fan of JDM since Supernatural, and he cried a couple times in that too. I think he cried at some point on The Walking Dead and he probably cried at some point on Grey's Anatomy as well, though I haven't found those scenes yet.
Two scenes near the end of The Secrets We Keep. Joel Kinnaman cries making a confession, and in the next scene Chris Messina cries and is comforted by Noomi Rapace.

Karl Urban in The Truth About Demons from 2000. I like how long the camera is trained on his face.
Fredric Lehne in Crossing Jordan 2x6, in which he plays a dying man trapped in the rubble of a bombed building. I happened to see this scene while doing the commercial break channel-surf in like 2007 and it stayed with me ever since. A couple years ago I decided to go find it. Had to ask around 'hey what's the Crossing Jordan episode where a man is trapped in a wall crying and sobbing?' A tad embarrassing but tracking down a scene is always worth it.
Ash Stymest smoking and sobbing in Sex Doll (2016). I think he's been trying unsuccessfully to help trafficked women or something to that effect.

The one with Karl Urban is so lovely ! He looks incredibly young too .

Though I generally prefer the kind of crying that makes noise, this is one instance where the silent streaming tears thing really really works, because he's so expressive in the little details of his face and breathing.

The Joel Kinnamon whumpslist via Whumpslist on tumblr (a veritable goldmine of male whump stuff), says that during the first Suicide Squad movie, he has a scene where he's upset and crying. I skimmed the movie but couldn't find the scene. Does anyone know when this happens?

Yes I skimmed that too :-) I don't have time to check it out , but I recall it was in the beginning or first third of the movie, it just like one shoot in a ambulance, where his girlfriend dies, only few frames long :-(

Four scenes of a teary or crying Nick Blood in Jewish horror film The Offering. He's teary in the first scene, crying in the second and third scenes, and teary in the last scene. I remember him from Agents of SHIELD and it's lovely to see him actually cry. He's so expressive!
Josh Holloway in Colony 3x9, sitting on the floor quietly crying. I like how even though he's trying to suppress any sound, when his wife sits with him, he looks her full in the face while still crying.
Ioan Gruffudd in Harrow 1x10
And again in 2x5
