Turkish actor Çağatay Ulusoy seems quite the prolific crier. I posted in the Images forum and in my men crying pinterest board (yet there always seem to be more of them to pin). I've got my favorite crying scenes from his series Hakan: Muhafiz (The Protector), in which his character Hakan has to fight magical evil (with the help of a magical dagger and shirt) in modern Istanbul.
I like how he has multiple crying styles where he'll do quieter gasping breath-hitching sobs from the back of his throat, or he'll do full-volume deeper-pitched sobbing from his chest. I like how he often will rock back and forth a little, and how messy his face gets all covered in tear streaks.
I'll update if/when I find other clips like from other stuff he's been in, because if the pics are anything to go by, he cries in every damn show/movie he does.
1x1, grieving his dad. Fave aspect: when he's sitting by himself sobbing.
1x2, confused and still grieving his dad, face streaked with tear tracks. Fave aspect: how his voice wobbles when he asks her to leave.
Edit: added two more scenes from 1x2. First there's a scene in the morgue where he speaks to his dead father (I had to edit this bit together) and then a scene in the library where he looks at his father's things.
2x7, grieving a friend and feeling unworthy. Fave aspect: how he speaks through his sobs.
3x3, grieving his brother and punching an alter ego while his face is still covered in tears. Fave aspect: the tear forming and spilling over.
3x6, grieving his brother and his friend, feeling angry and guilty and trapped. Fave aspect: how, after trying very hard to scare her away because he feels like he can't protect her, he opens up when she asks, and how he lets his anger melt into grief and sobs openly in front of her.

Perfect, this is an old post of mine:
The guy in the first clip is a Turkish actor called Cagatay Ulusoy. He is a great crier. There is this series called THE PROTECTOR on Netflix, where he cries in the first episode around Min 34. And then there is this series called Icerde, where he is actually crying nonstop. You can google the official clips, in almost everyone, there is some crying, like here towards the end of the clip:

Holy shit that is a lot of crying. Crying and laughing (I think--it's hard to be sure) and sobbing in turn and sometimes at once. I'm guessing it's a cultural thing? Like maybe there's a Turkish storytelling style where emotions are super dramatic. Wait did we find a Turkish soap opera? From the comments on the video it is. Seems like it's got all the outsized emotions of Western daily soap operas and then some, but with production values more comparable to weekly soaps. I don't think American soap operas usually have anywhere near that amount of male crying.

I read that in Eastern countries and also in Asian soaps men are allowed to grieve openly about losing family members and significant others so there won't be a shortage of tears. This particular show goes further than that and makes the character masculine enough to fight and do something in order to seek justice while mourning without any censorship. The angles in which his crying moments are shown are nuanced enough to make it realistic and raw without overdoing it and at the same time, we don't feel the crying is cut out to give the protagonist a sense of restricting his emotional expression. I've seen a few American soaps which made it look as if the male character has to be ''just so'', not crying too much or sobbing so as not to look too feminine or over emotional and the crying parts are simply cut, shortened, obscured in a way that the viewer focuses more on the action and the story and not on the character's feelings.

In episode 2 from the 1 st season there are 3 more sobbing scenes after this one. One with him in the morgue, contemplating his father's death at 7:10 which continues at 9:10. He's shown sobbing and wiping tears as they fall down from his eyes while talking to his dead father. At 15 :05 he is in the family library overcome with memories as he's looking for something. He starts sobbing again while taking short breaths. And at the end of the episode he gets teary eyed. He's so versatile and there's no single scene in which his crying would seem overdone !

I couldn't find the scene with him crying in the cinema and I looked all over this film. I found another sweet crying scene at some point at 32:00 in which he says to that girl that he is in love with her from the first time he saw her, after she tells him that the other guy is actually gay. At that moment his eyes fill up with tears and she wipes them and the gay guy tears up as well saying he's witnessing a very awkward situation. I like his eyes and face so much when he declares his love. He's so handsome ! I
