Talk about crying

My wife and a mutual friend (F) were talking on the phone (speaker, so I was listening), when the conversation turned to them talking about crying and how some friends cried, they talked about a particular one (also female) who our friend said cried "big tears in streams" then my wife compared her to another female friend (who cries at the drop of a hat) saying that "(insert name) also cries a lot".

I started to flashback to some of the times I have seen the former friend cry, and honestly I remember once, while we were in Europe, she cried, unchecked tears, a few of them, but they were not big and the streaks left were not thick, only one streak on the inner corner of her eyes. Strange.

Re: Talk about crying

Nice! Looks like your wife does notice her friends' crying tendencies/patterns.

I love talking about crying with my friends, but I'm always paranoid I'll sound too interested or curious and make people wonder why I'm fixated on it. I know some people who are so unconcerned with crying that they completely ignore it and would never even consider talking about it. It's always better if someone else brings it up!

I'm a woman and I think women are beautiful when they cry.

Re: Talk about crying

I was talking about crying with a female friend recently (one I'd love to see cry, she's very pretty and I've had a tease a couple of times when she's yawned and her eyes have ever so slightly dampened). We were talking about something and she said hypothetically, if what we were discussing were to happen, she'd burst into tears. I then asked her if she cried a lot and she said about once every couple of weeks, sometimes more if she's talking to her family who live in a different city. She asked me if I cried a lot and I said no, though I did cry a bit in the last few months. I pushed a bit and asked her about how many tears she'd shed normally, and she said about four or five. Then, she volunteered information and said that she usually shed more tears while chopping onions, and shared a self-obs of when she was cooking for her roommates and was chopping onions and tears stared falling from her eyes onto the chopping board and the onions, and her roommates started joking about making sure to add less salt as she'd already added her tears and then apparently one of her roommates said while eating that the dish tasted delicious because of her tears. I joked that I'd love to taste the dish (in reality, I would, especially if I could see her chop onions while cooking). It was such a surprising conversation and I've been wondering what she'd look like with tears falling from her eyes.
