I arrived at Ernie's in good time about 1:45 pm and started to wait. I didn't get out of the car just waited inside it for Camilla to show up.

I hadn't yet decided what to do if she didn't.

When the clock ticked over to 2:05pm, I saw her car arrive. I also saw her get out with Jarrod and enter the juice bar.

Angry tears filled my eyes. Which part of meet me alone did she not understand. A tear streamed down the left hand side of my face and dropped onto my jeans as I dialled Camilla's number

I asked her to put Jarrod on and I asked him to leave so I could speak to Camilla alone as I'd wished. He started to argue.

'Jarrod, dude!' I told him more tears escaping down my cheeks. 'I'm really sorry, but I'm going to be frightfully rude. I want you to get up, go to the front door, return to Camilla's car and close the door. I want to speak to Camilla alone.'

He argued even more and I got really upset and hung up. Starting the car I drove off tears blinding my eyes. I didn't see the SUV parked on the side of the road and ended up crashing into it

Jarrod tells me so much as he doesn't trust Jen and doesn't want me to go alone.

"I'm calling out of work. I can't let you go see Jen alone. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I did that?" Jarrod snapped a little harsher than usual.

"So should I call out too? She wants to meet at 2." I ask a little taken a back as I continue to get ready for work.

Jarrod is already on the phone with his job. "I'm sorry but I must call out. I don't feel good. Sorry for such short notice.

I then reluctantly call my job "Is t ok if I leave a bit early today? I'mm sorry for the short notice but I have a very important 2pm appointment that I completely forgot about. I need to leave at 1."

I then finish getting  ready. As soon as I exit the bathroom I see Jarrod is also ready.

"I need to go home to get some clean clothes, but mind if I drive you to work first? That way I can also pick you up. If we are going to see Jen together we really don't need two cars." Jarrod asked quickly.

"Ok, but we better hurry before I'm late." I say quickly grabbing my purse and heading for the door Jarrod quickly following behind.

Camilla wasn't happy with me.

'What did you do that for!'

'Why did you bring Jarrod!' I screamed. 'I told you to come alone and you didn't! I'm not mad or dangerous or crazy! I don't have mental issues or anything else! I just don't want your boyfriend to wipe away my tears! If you'd just followed my simple chuffing instructions I would have told you this in the cafe! Now sod off both of you and leave me alone!'

Camilla backed away. I saw Jarrod come round the corner

'SOD OFF!' I screamed even louder. 'FOR ONCE JUST DO WHAT SOMEBODY SAYS AND JUST SOD OFF!!'

They both left leaving me to deal with my accident and the crowds of people who had listened to my tantrum

I'd just finished packing my case to go away on a trip. I hadn't yet decided where, I was just going to travel to Heathrow and see what I could find.

I'd gone down to my car when I saw Jen coming up to me.

'I need to get away too.' She said. She summarised what had happened that day and I was a little shocked

'You might face charges for crashing into the car' I said.

'No, I'll be fine. The SUV wasn't too damaged and it was only a 20mph crash anyway. I just want to get away from Camilla and Jarrod. Can I come with you?'

'As long as we go as friends' I said.

Jen shook my hand. 'Deal'

Seeing Jen run away from the car crash, I run up to Camilla, she was in shock, I took her arm and walked her back to her car, I open the door for her and go to the driver seat, I place a hand on the steering wheel and the other, unlike my usual, on the back of her neck, caressing her hair and neck, trying to soothe her.
