I'm going to be posting all the crying scenes Colin Firth has done. I'll be updating this thread if/when I find new clips. Feel free to direct me to new clips or post your own.
He's so good y'all, but of course we all already knew that. He's one of those actors where his crying styles can be wildly different from each other depending on the role.
A Single Man, He's just been told his husband has been killed in a car crash, Good god, his expression as the tears spill down his face just KILLS me.
The King's Speech, crying in embarrassment from having a stammer, and his wife comforting him as he breaks down absolutely sobbing.
Genius, reading a letter sent posthumously from a man he'd loved.
When Did You Last See Your Father? gently sobbing alone outside after his father's funeral. He makes some lovely noises.
Trauma, overwhelmed with emotion when his thought-to-be-dead wife shows up at his door. (I'm working on getting the rest of the crying from this movie. I know this isn't all there is.)
Supernova, two scenes. 1: he's cooking and goes into the bathroom for privacy in which to continue his attempts not to cry. They are ultimately unsuccessful.
2: he and his husband are having an argument where everyone is mostly just sad. He's slowly crying for much of the scene, repeatedly wiping away his tears as if he thinks each time this will be the last time.

The Railway Man, two scenes.
1: he's having PTSD about his time as POW in WW2. He ends up on the floor just wailing.
2: more tearful than crying really--he's speaking to the guilt-ridden former officer who had tortured him. His eyes get wet and he's trying to control his face. If you can see this in high resolution, you can see he does cry a little, but it can be hard to see if it's not in high-res because of the angle.
Also, Hiroyuki Sanada, the former officer has a lovely crying scene at the end of the movie and cries in Colin Firth's arms. It's really sweet. I do love seeing this actor cry. He's cried a couple times in stuff I've seen, now that I think about it.
