I never knew my grandfathers.they both died before I was born. I lost one grandmother a year ago. My Kay surviving grandparent, my father's mother has always amazed me.she's into her nineties and has all her Weiss and all her teeth.bouncy, independent, she gets young folks. My fifteen year old Bruce week call her great grandma to b*tch when het mother is being so unfair.
, I hardly speak to her as often as I should. I'm getting scared because she's just now staring to have health problems, needing help around the house, not being able to be leggy alone. This is not like her.she has never been unwell as long as I have known her and she always just seemed ageless. It's scary to see she is mortal after all.

I have to agree with truffle.lump in the throat is not crying.not every experience if string emotion counts as a level of crying.I think for it to be crying there has to be the presence of tears.
I agree, choked up / lump in throat is probably just classed as increased emotion rather than crying. Personally my threadhold for calling it 'crying' is visible tears in eyes - some people say they have to actually leave the eyes but for me tears in eyes is enough.
I included these categories to try and answer the 64 times a year question but ok if you guys feel it's too much to report on these categories.
I really experience these categories on there own it goes straight from nothing to at least tears in eyes.

I have to disagree with some of you and have to add the lump as well, otherwise I won't probably post any crying events. The last time I had some tears down my face, I let it happen to take some pictures for this forum. Normally I just don't let the tears come because I get just such a mess and can't stop crying anymore afterwards.
Here I go:
Sunday 19.01.2014, around 10
Duration: 2 minutes
Reason for Crying: frustration, argueing about the same since years, just can't change it
Location:in the car
Crying Intensity: no tears, otherwise very intense
Reation to Tears: pounding on the steering wheel, screaming to prevent the tears, more like transforming sadness to aggression
People Present: Alone

Date: Feb 2
Duration: about five minutes
Reason for crying: life can suck and then throw ironies at you to rub on your face how sucky it is.
Location: on the street, fighting it very hard, then home in my room.
Crying intensity: first outdoors very choked up. Tears threatening,b blinking very furiously to keep it back. Then at home quietly sobbing so as not to frighten the kids, my usual heavy treat volume.
Reaction to tears: texted my husband to
People present: me in the room.my children and step soon in the next room.

Is there a way to pin this thread where everyone can see it? Otherwise it's definitely going to get buried and newbies won't see it.
ENTRY FOR MY WIFE
Date: 13th Feb 2014
Time: 22:00
Duration: almost 10 minutes
Reason for Crying: Nostalgia, I think. Her aunt sold the house that she grew up in. The deal went through. She cried while telling me childhood stories.
Location: Home, bed.
Crying Intensity: Sobbing for a minute, then just flowing tears while she talked.
Reaction to Tears: She draped a hand towel over her pillow and sobbed into it for a minute. The rest of the time she sat up and let 3-4 tears fall each time before wiping them from her cheeks with the towel.
Lip curl: YES! Right as she was starting to cry her lip bulged and her chin went up. And then she suppressed it and buried her face.

@truffle: Nice! Was her mouth open when the lip bulged out?
@inmyarms: Lovely as ever! And in your case I don't have to use my imagination. All the best regarding your issues, though.
