Hey Guys,
Is anyone going to see The Hobbit? I can't wait, yay! I'm a big Lord Of The Rings fan I own all the DVD's I was just wondering if you guys were going to see it?

As much as I loved the LOTR trilogy, I'm not going to see the Hobbit in theaters. 27 animals died in production of the film, and that's not something I want to support with my money. I might download it illegally once it's available, though.

And now the conversation descends into uncomfortable silence.... sorry guys.

Well I did see it and I enjoyed it but part of me is still a bit confused as to why such a short book is three long movies - and there are even extended editions to come as well!!

I thought it was OK but far from great. It really didn't need to be stretched out. The overuse of CGI was kind of a sore point. Though I thought it was cool that the 7th Doctor is in this!

It is cool that the 7th Doctor is in it, however this is one of the contentious points as his character is allegedly from LOTR not The Hobbit

I sadly have to agree with TorNorth it has been stretched way beyond what it should be
