so i’ve gathered a few clips of realistic female crying, and when i say “realistic” i mean ugly-crying, gasping, sobbing, mascara running.. am i wrong when i say that there actually aren’t that many “intense” female crying scenes???? i feel like the producers focus too much on making the actress look pretty when crying which tends to “un-dramatize” the whole scene. anyway, enough of my rambling- here are the clips
1st clip: Elizabeth taylor , “who is afraid of virginia woolf” 1966
She is an amazing actress, oh my god. I found three scenes of her crying dramatically. This one is about her toxic marriage and she starts sobbing because i think her husband killed their son or something? It’s a complicated, 2 hour long movie and I dozed off somewhere in the middle lol so ..

2: Elizabeth Taylor in Secret Ceremony
very short, intense scene. She starts crying because the girl in thr bath with her is supposed to be the lookalike of her dead daughter who died drowning.

I also wanted to link some Meryl Streep clips but I haven’t watched her movies in a long time but she definitely fits the category.
