Crying Discussion » Mouth covering - what IS the impulse?? » September 3, 2011 9:12 pm |
I wouldn't necessary consider embarrassment itself to be a major draw for me, but like you said carrotcake it does open up more opportunities to comfort the person and tell them its ok, so indirectly it kinda is.

That's very true woundedpuppy, it's interesting cos I also can't think of any times I've seen a man cover his mouth when they cry. Maybe women are more conscious about how their mouths look but aren't so worried about letting people see tears, whereas men maybe feel vulnerable in that they just don't want to show tears at all so cover their eyes instead.

There's a lot of crying in this episode. My favorite scene starts at 41 min 30 sec:
I love scenes where one woman who is crying really hard is being comforted by another woman who is not crying as much. However, at the end of this scene, that tear on the brunette girl's cheek looks fake. But I'm nitpicking.
Thanks Truffle I liked all of these, I do kind of see what you mean about the last one but it didn't bother me.

Just wondering if anyone has seen the music video for Beyonce's 1+1, it's only just come out:
Pretty sensual stuff all the way through, but there's also some definite tears at 2:27.
Crying Discussion » Awkwardness of family crying » August 24, 2011 11:27 pm |
I agree with everyone else that it's really awkward to see family members crying, but that got me thinking...
Imagine this as a scenario: Meeting someone you don't know and getting turned on when they start crying but then a SHOCKING REVELATION occurs and you realise it's actually a long lost brother / sister. How would you feel then? I have no idea what it would be like hahaha.

My brother gets his GCSE results tomorrow. I might go with him and if so I'll be sure to look out for any tears. I remember back when I got my GCSE and A-level results there were quite a few tears from some people but I was too distracted by finding out my own results to really care (fortunately they were good)

I was insecure about talking about my crying fetish too, but this place REALLY helps. It's so encouraging to know that there are other people with similar interests, and it's great to be able to finally open up about it without getting embarrassed.
Crying Discussion » Types of tears? » August 21, 2011 4:31 pm |
It's interesting to think about, I like tears when they are slow and thick but I also like it when they are really fast and there's a lot of them. I also like it when there's more than one stream of tears per eye, but at the same time I don't like it when the face becomes so wet that you can't make out the individual tears / streams so clearly.

Hi there Suckerformanlytears! (just rolls off the tongue doesn't it haha)
I'll let you know if I find some full-blown male breakdowns, which will probably happen by accident cos I'm only into female crying, but it's great to have you here! Your English seems to be better than a lot of people who have it as their first language, so no need to worry!

Hmm. Maybe that's why some people wipe their tears the second they leave the eyes -- they think it is good manners. Never thought of that. I much prefer to see them roll down the face... so beautiful...
You're probably right about that, plus I guess the feeling of having tears rolling down the face rather than just in the eyes makes them feel weaker and less dignified.
I wish more people were confident to just let them flow because it annoys me so much when they wipe them away. For me the first few seconds where tears start flowing down the face is the key moment I look out for.
