Re: Movie night

Liz's POV

When Sadie heard her sister was in labour she was conflicted. She wanted to go see her family but the rota had already been done.

However me and Louise rejigged it a little so she could fly to Boston for three days. Emma stepped up to fill the gap

'Don't worry' she told Sadie, tears running down her cheeks. 'You're not putting me in a spot honestly. You go see your family'

Appeased Sadie quickly packed for a three day trip and I took her to the airport

Re: Movie night

Caitlin's POV

I brought down my DVD boxes and opened them on the coffee table ready for Robyn to choose. It was just before 5:15 in the morning and it was the day of our movie marathon.

I'd been looking forward to this. My weekly film sessions with Millie had been so fun. It would be lovely to do the same thing with my girlfriend.

Soon Robyn came downstairs and quickly selected Shadow of a Doubt as the first film. It was Millie’s favourite Hitchcock and after watching it became Robyn's too. When I told her to keep choosing as this was her day, tears streamed down her face.

I gently wiped her tears and we shared a passionate kiss. Robyn's next choice was High Noon, a tense western in real time

The sun was rising as we watched and it was soon time to ditch the headphones as only Kate was in the house - Dad and Felicia were having a weekend away - She quietly came in, dressed in her butlers outfit carrying a tray with two bowls of cereal and two glasses of juice

'Thank you Ruth' I giggled. Kate merely grinned and left us to it. Robyn's next choice was The Pink Panther

Re: Movie night

William's POV:

As Anna comes to the table with Annabelle in her arms, I see the two women I love most with all the love I feel for them, as soon as we sit to eat, I tell Anna: "I couldn't have asked for more, a beautiful, loving and understanding wife, and a beautiful baby girl, what else can life give me?".

A few months go by, Anna recovers more from having Annabelle...

One evening, after arriving from work, I am preparing to give Anna a well deserved massage as she started working again, when I hear my phone ring, it's Jarrod. I answer quickly and I freeze when I hear: "William, Camilla is in labor. It might be a while but we'll call you back after she delivers."

I tell Anna...

Re: Movie night

As soon as I hang the phone with William, I get back to Camilla in the room where the doctors and nurses are gathering. A nurse puts a sterile scrub over my shirt and pants and shows me how to wash my hands before being allowed in the delivery room.

Not long I am allowed, Camilla's contractions come more frequent and stronger. She holds my hand as she endures the pain of the labor. At one point it seems that the pain is too much to bear, even with the anesthetic, I see tears forming in her eyes, she squeezes my hand tight.

After what feels like an eternity, the tension breaks as the nurse receives our newborn in her hands and Camilla's tears finally start rolling down the outer corners of her eyes (as she is lying down). I have to admit she looks radiantly beautiful with the reflector making her rather large tears shine. I don't think twice, I reach the eye farther from me and place my thumb to catch the tear and dry the thick streak as I lean to kiss the outer corner of her eye closer to me, kissing the thick, shiny streak along the way.

Camilla is all that exists in that moment, I lose awareness of doctors and nurses as I am wiping and kissing her tears.

Re: Movie night

Anna's pov:

A fee mos later I'm preparing for my massage (as I've been back to work some time now) as William lovingly offered when his phone rang.  He tells me it's his brother and Camilla is in labor. He also says Jarrod will call back after she delivers.

After William hangs up he blurts out excitedly "I know you're back to work, but we need to find time to go visit them after they have their son."

"Yes, that would be lovely. I figure the first weekend after she has him would be perfect if they don't object. I mean our daughter should meet and get to know her cousin as they will be spending a lot of time together seeing as how they're only five mos apart." I reply just as excitedly almost forgetting about my massage.

Re: Movie night

As soon as Jarrod hangs up he is immediately dressed in scrubs and shown how to sterilize his hands. He then holds my hand as I deliver. As soon as I see our son in the nurse's hands I can't help the tears that I didn't even know were in my eyes start rolling down the outer corners of my eyes. Almost immediately I see Jarrod lean over me and feel his thumb placed on my cheek to catch one of the tears and it's streak. He then leans in and I feel him kiss the outer corner of my right eye, kissing it's streak as well.

"They are cleaning up Jackson right now. How about you get some rest while I fill out any paperwork they might need. Hopefully that'll be one less thing you'll need to focus on." Jarrod finally whispers slowly. I guess he could see how tired I was from delivering our bundle of joy.

Re: Movie night

Sadie's POV

I managed to find my hotel okay and after I had checked in, I texted Jarrod who told me that I had a nephew.

'We'll tell you first so you can see Jackson before your mum' he told me in his message

After storing my bags in my room, I quickly booked a taxi to the hospital. As soon as I laid eyes on my new nephew, my eyes filled with tears

'Hi Jackson' I said, with tears streaming down my face. 'I'm Auntie Sadie' Jackson made a sound acknowledging the introduction and I went over to see Camilla who greeted me with a warm hug.

She asked me if I was still with Liz and I said I was.

'She can't come unfortunately, she has the Juice Bar to run. I can only stay for a day or two and then I have to fly back. My friend Emma is standing in for me'

I stayed with Jarrod and Camilla for an hour or two then when my brother in law notified me that my mum was on her way, I sneaked out, managing to leave the hospital before I saw her

On the taxi ride back to the hotel, I told Liz the news

Re: Movie night

Enid's POV

'Have you got a minute?' Leanne asked me. She was dressed in a black skirt suit and blue blouse. The presence of a name badge told me this was her work uniform. She looked tired

We sat down on a bench outside the shop and she began

'You had a health inspection on Monday' she informed me. 'You don't have to worry, you passed but me and Kim especially had to clean the shop after hours to make sure you did'

She paused as her eyes filled with tears.

'Kim didn't want to ask me for help, because I had had a truly awful week at work, but she had no choice. She was very upset about it and I don't like to see my wife upset'

The tears in Leanne's eyes began running down her cheeks

'I appreciate you were busy with College  and everything, but you have to know about these things. Kim loves working at  your shop, but she is getting frustrated.'

'I'll talk to Tristan' I said feeling cold. It didn't sit well with me that we has both enjoyed ourselves while our staff struggled

Leanne wiped her tears and I let her go to work. I went back inside and told my husband what had transpired while we were in Florida

Re: Movie night

William’s POV:

Anna says excited that we should visit in about a week, I agree and am pretty excited that Annabelle has a male cousin now, only a few months apart.

I continue with the intention of giving Anna a well deserved massage (especially feeling she is gradually regaining her muscle tone).

Re: Movie night

I called mom and dad, Sadie and then Camilla’s mom. So, the first one to arrive is Sadie, as soon as she comes into the hospital room I bring our little Jackson for her to hold. Her eyes quickly fill with tears as she says: 'Hi Jackson' (tears start streaming down her cheeks) 'I'm Auntie Sadie' Jackson made a sound acknowledging the greeting.

As I see Sadie holding little Jackson in her arms with tears streaming down her face in multiple streaks, I lean and gently wipe her cheeks clear of the first wave of tears, clearing her shiny streaks as well: “Here Sadie, allow me to take care of your tears as you hold your beautiful nephew “.

She hands me my baby boy and goes to Camilla. We update on our lives and, after a couple of hours I let her know her mom is about to arrive. She sheds another wave of tears, this time, even though she is not using her hands, I still, gently wipe her tears from her cheeks wishing her a safe trip and telling her we love her and she can come visit anytime.
