'Hi trouble' Luke greeted Narinda's nephew Pasha one day.
'I'm not trouble' Pasha replied. He did try and suppress a smile, so I concluded that he did like his Auntie's boyfriend.
Soon however Pasha's attention was seemingly attracted to a young woman on Table 9. His mum was reminding him that it wasn't polite to stare, but staring he was. I couldn't resist having a look myself and found myself getting jealous over her boots she was wearing over chocolate brown trousers.
I then did a double take. It couldn't be could it.
Pasha was wondering as well. He carefully walked across and asked her if she was Elara.
'Do you think I am' Kate Daniels asked him.
'You do look like her' Pasha conceded. 'But Elara has an American accent and glasses' Kate asked him to close his eyes and when he did, her voice changed to a strong Californian accent. As she continued to talk it got softer and softer, a little shy and awkward until we had
'Elara Finch' Kate introduced completely transformed into her popular character. She shook a delighted Pasha by the hand. 'I'm very pleased to finally meet you at last. Your reputation proceeds you as we like to say. Your Aunt Narinda talks about you all the time, I've heard all about your exploits on the New York subway'
This spontaneous and semi improvised performance earned Kate a round of applause. She bashfully accepted the praise with a small bow. Pasha took his autographed photo and positively floated back to his parents who were very happy for him. Kate had a brief conversation with a guy on a nearby table while she was waiting for her food.
'Tristan is going to be so jealous he missed this' Luke told me with a grin.
'And so is Narinda' I replied back
