Sadie who had been very frugal with her money since moving to Bellingham had been surprised one day to discover her bank account contained $7m.
Then she remembered. Over a decade ago when she had originally moved to Bellingham, a close friend had gifted her some money to set herself up. With bank interest payments, this had now blossomed to three and a half times her initial gift
She had decided to spend it on a car and a holiday home nearby for her and Liz and her friends to use, and her sister and brother in law if they came to see her.
Me and Natalie decided to stay in it and it was wonderful to open the door to the home. We couldn't stop the tears running down our cheeks as we walked around.
Additionally it had wooden floors which meant we both made click clacky noises on the wooden floor. Sadie had put a small collection of movies and vinyls in the home as well, so I put a Cindy Lauper album on and me and Natalie sang together as we made the tea
