Good idea, actually. I also have entire episodes of TV shows which are far too big to send. But we can always enjoy the screencaps. I think I'll post some in the future.

Using a lossless video splitter such as AimOne video splitter, it is possible to create subclip of just those portions without reencoding so it retains the same resolution. For example 600MB can turn into just 6MB in the case of the example I posted.

Tumblr has tons of animated gifs from various movie/TV scenes. There are even a few blogs dedicated just to this. Just search for "crying" and the like.
