I have had a few obs of my wife, but usually very brief and not worth mentioning, a couple of nights ago, she was overwhelmed, for the first time I noticed quite a slow build-up, her face went sad (no lip curl or very expressive gestures) and her closed eyes were, very slowly, filling with tears. I was starting to get impatient.
Eventually, tears started to slip slowly down the córners of her eyes (I was laying on her left, so I could only see her left eye). I wiped a tear from the side of her face, and eventually a new one slid down, this time I kissed the tear and caressed her hair. All in all, no more thsn 5 tears fell.

Oh, so she has been crying! I had noticed that you’d taken a break from posting obs of your wife, and was wondering if she had just been less emotional than usual. I guess the episodes were just too short and simple to post, which is understandable. I sometimes have trouble deciding whether an obs is worth posting especially if I’ve posted a dozen similar obs before.
BTW I LOVE the slow build-up that you’re describing. Doesn’t matter how long it takes for a tear to fall, as long as it falls! I’ve noticed that when tears fall out of closed eyes, the drops tend to be much bigger when they finally fall. Were those two tears any bigger than usual?

Surprisingly no, her tears were rather small and elongated, if that makes sense, more long than round, and left a small streak down the side of her face.
