Back in like 2007 Liev had a four-episode arc on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. (I think his performance is a master class in subtety--the kind where a single tiny facial twitch communicates proverbial volumes about his character.) His final episode was the first time I'd ever seen him cry, and little 20-year-old me who was used to seeing mostly pretty-boy types shed a few tears, was just wrecked by seeing him wake up from a nightmare and dissolve into quiet simple tears. Young-me was too heart-stomped to watch it again. 

Now that I've got a better ability to emotionally handle seeing the various ways that men cry, for the first time in thirteen years I revisited that episode, and y'all, it is damn beautiful.
