Like if somebody read what you wrote about them crying, and figured out it was you? Especially if it weren't someone in your personal life.
Asking for a friend.

Honestly, I didn't even dare to think that happening remotely. But assuming that happened, that means that the other person is a dac as well, so I think in the end it could result in an interesting conversation.

It sure would be an interesting conversation. Hypothetically.
And being a dac isn't the only way to stumble on writing about crying. Heaven knows I've written about crying all over the web, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

All over the web, are there other sites that are open to this besides fetlife and quora?

I dunno, but like, I've left a youtube comment here, a tweet reply there, ya know?

I have only done that on Quora, but I am not using my real name or my primary email.

Tell me about Quora. I'm aware it's like, a question/answer site? How does it relate to crying?

There is a whole section about crying, and I have detected at least a couple of dacs in there.
By the way, feel free to answer the question in the link.

To be fair, some of my close friends already know. I guess it is what it is, can't change how you feel.

It would definitely depend on the person and the situation. With my close friends and partners, I'm pretty open about my dacryphilia. I used to be terribly ashamed of it, and I still am a little bit, but I'm learning to work through it, and the people in my life aren't judgemental about it. Most of my obs that I actually write are of strangers, but the one I wrote about that crush I used to sing with, that would be a different story. If she found out, I don't know what I would do. I guess it would depend on how she responded to it.
