God I love crying men. Makes me want to hold him while he shakes and kiss his face.

So good! The raw emotion from him in that scene is incredible. I just wanted to hold him too, poor thing seemed so alone. I loved that scene because you could just watch the realization that he wasn't going to be able to hold it together cross his face and he tried to back away to be respectful but just couldn't. Ugh, so beautifully acted.

TBH I had a moment like this a few nights ago, minus the audience. My beloved older sister died very suddenly in early March. (When I'm feeling stable, I will joke that she got out of here just in time to avoid the pandemic. She was the kind of person absolutely down with joking about things like this.) I was up at 3am, drinking a little bit and maybe a bit high, listening to my comfort podcast Shadows at the Door, and performer David Ault (he has cried a couple times in the show--check for my 'crying in podcasts' thread) reads from a book of mostly-secular graveyard-themed benedictions, and I positively ugly-cried. While I was in deep pain, there was a purity to it, an odd but fitting quality of peace, somehow.

I clipped the scene into my drive, so we won't have to go looking for a new source every month.

Hopefully this link will play. It is Jonathan Groff in his HBO series, "Looking". It is a great show. In this clip, he is attending the funeral of his female friend's father, but this is after he has lost his love. He breaks down at the grave site after hearing her aunt read a poem by Walt Whitman, whom he himself has quoted in previous eps.
What I love is you see some tears in his eyes, but I adore the sobbing. I just wish he had been able to be comforted. Enjoy! The scene starts at 16:09.
what season and episode is this ?

Oh,I 'm sorry i didn't check it thoroughly . I only saw that Phoebeonthe phone posted it some time ago.
I also found another film with him crying in two scenes, the second one being quite long and detailed.
( at 1:06: 00 a guy attempts to rape him and he starts crying and praying, be aware that the scene is quite uncomfortable to watch , at 1:20:00 he discusses with his dad in the car and his dad tells him something sad and humiliating, there s a close up of his eyes welling up with tears and then his all face is soaked with tears streaming down his cheeks)
