I found it, it's from Law and Oder : Organised Crime , episode 2. He was having a nightmare and his son came in to wake him up. This is happening in the aftermath of the death of his wife. After his son leaves his eyes well up with tears and he starts sobbing. The scene is short. There isn't much sobbing but at least his eyes are shown in a close up at some point at around 35:00 into the episode.
