I also have to add, once I read this I went ahead and looked up this term and did some reading on it. This is one of the things I saw:

"The Whumpee (aka the character getting hurt) gets caught by the bad guys for one reason or another, and gets tortured. The Caregiver (aka a friend or a teammate of the whumpee) finds the Whumpee and rescues them. Afterwards the Whumpee suffers from physical problems like fever and infection, and nightmares or other mental issues because of the torture, and the Caregiver helps them through it."


And holy crap this blew my mind because this description is basically my oldest, longest running go-to crying fantasy 😄. I mean, it's spot on, my fantasy includes every one of these elements
