What I think the most about it is "produce", "volume", "landing" or "splashing" while speaking about tears, obviously...
I'm more into the physics about it rather than the emotions itself, actually. Also, stuff like "shedding", "falling" and "gathering" or "growing", for instance...

I like words related to how crying affects the whole body, like "shaking," "trembling," or "collapse into __'s arms."
