A few days ago I got to see a full blown sobbing woman, she was wiping her tears quickly to prevent her tears from rolling down her cheeks (still, the quantity and speed of her tears managed some to escape her fingers and roll down her cheeks for a few moments, until she wiped them). She had a full lip curl, shoulders and abs shaking a steady stream of tears, her voice hitched by the sobs, her crying fit lasted about 10 minutes. Besides me one more person interacted with her while she cried and one more noticed her but gave us space to respect her sensitive moment.

I’m glad you got to take an active role and I’m sure she appreciated the comfort. Public sobbing is a rarity these days.

As a matter of fact she hugged me, but yes, I did hug her.
