I recently found a post on Twitter talking about men who cry in front of women, and a lot of girls said they find it attractive.
Personally, I have no problem crying in front of girls. I currently like a girl (we're not dating), and I've cried in front of her a few times. I even like to cry in her presence, because I like her to hug me, calm me down and tell me cute things. As much as she is my friend, she really cares about me when I'm sad and that makes me happy. I love it when she comforts me, I feel loved and that makes me like her more and more. But, I think it would be okay if I cried in front of other friends, who I have no romantic interest in. But for those of you who are dating (or have been dating), tell me what you think about crying in front of your partner. And if any girl is reading this, tell me how it was if your boyfriend has ever cried in front of you. Looking forward to your response.

A male’s perspective (personal, not generic). I do hold back tears in front of women, but I hold them more in front of men (as one competes with men, not women). The first and only woman who has seen me cry in my adult life is my beautiful wife, it took me several months of relationship to feel comfortable enough to cry in front of her, the fact that she cried many times in my arms and allowed me to wipe and kissed her tears helped in me opening up with her.

I'd love it if a guy openly cried in front of me (romantic or not). I'd treat then just as your close girl friend treats you. I find it endearing actually.
Had two guys cry in front of me actually (my husband and a close guy friend). Didn't make me think any different of them just initiated my comforting instincts.

I've cried in front of three different women in my adult life - my ex and two other friends. One of the friends and my ex have seen me cry more than once. The two friends have seen me cry quite hard. I've teared up a little in front of a few others, and cried over the phone a couple of times to another female friend.
I'd say for me it depends on the context and who it is I'm crying in front of, I wouldn't cry in front of most people, but there are people I trust enough (and usually engage in emotional conversations and things only with them) that I have cried in front of. I will say that if I get married, I'll only want to cry in front of my wife and no other woman.

Would getting married change the dynamic with your female friend in front of whom you have cried many times? Would you reserve your conversations to avoid crying? Would you openly let your girlfriend/wife that you like having your tears wiped and kissed?

My boyfriend of 3y3m cried in front of me more times than I can count. I always start crying with him if it's an intense crying session, and its actually vice versa too. We wiped each other's tears a dozen times and remembering those instances gives me goosebumps.
He is a gorgeous crier, who lets his tears fall unchecked but they mostly never do because either he cries into my shoulder or i hold his face and wipe the tears as they leave his eyes.

What a surprise, was he like that from the start of the relationship or did he open up gradually? Did he hide his tears at some point? How did he react the first time you wiped his tears? I remember he wiped your tears way before you became boyfriend and girlfriend.
