The Pacific was the hbo miniseries that followed the experiences of certain marines in the south opacity in ww2. This devastating stunning scene is when Eugene Sledge having recent returned from war is going hinting Werth his father. It's the first time he's held a gun since combat and it completely overwhelms him.great comforting by fear old dad.

Another scene from the Pacific. A gunnery sergeant, the oldest of the group is tearing into his men because a man was killed during the night by friendly fire when he crawled out if his fix hole and was mistaken for the enemy. In the background, the camera keeps cutting to an obviously devastated buddy of the dead marine who is sobbing and being consoled by another guy.

And one more with a lot of moving male emotion. Captain Haldane,a father figure to the men who served under him, is killed by a sniper. They have two minutes to mourn before being put back into battle but they are intensely moving.
