These did a survey on the most and least emotinal people by country, with some interesting results:
I know that the internet does not reflect real life, but my observations on the internet does put both Latin America and the Philippines among the top of the most emotional countries. For some reason I didn't expect the US to score so high as well, but it might explain why our American forum members seem to provide so much more observations. As for Russians being among the least emotional ones, hahahaha, it certainly reinforces the image of the grim, stoic, Russian badass. I didn't expect Singapore to be the least emotional country though.

It's probably due to a combination of where you grew up and who you grew up with. My family is Indian and Italian, who are both apparently in the mid-to-low range on the emotional scale. The older generations in my family are definitely less emotional than my generation, which makes sense because I grew up in the United States.
I was actually surprised by how low South Korea scored.
