I HATE people who post pictures without identification!
Macfadyen crying scenes do seem to be kind of rare. Just the other night I was watching Ripper Street and a character actually asked him, "Why are you weeping?" Expectantly, I moved closer to the TV, but couldn't see any actual evidence of crying! (His co-star Jerome Flynn has had some lovely crying scenes, though).
Climbing to a high chamber in a well of houses, he threw himself down in his clothes on a neglected bed, and its pillow was wet with wasted tears. -- A Tale of Two Cities
