Aidan Turner, portraying Pre-Raphaelite painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti, weeps hysterically over his wife's suicide in the last scene of the BBC drama "Desperate Romantics." I'd suggest starting the video at about 53:00:

Also a nice one at about 39:00 when he finds her body. Actually, pretty much from 39:00 onwards he's a bit weepy.

Thanks for that, caircair. I've never watched any scenes from this drama except the church scene; I'm a big admirer of the Pre-Raphaelites and of English painting in general, so I'll have to watch the whole thing eventually.

It's well worth it. It's a bit soap-opera-ish, but well acted and VERY interesting as far as the various characters go.
I confess I'm really hoping there's another good crying scene in "Poldark". Last year's scenes were nice but too tame for my blood.

I've never seen "Poldark" with Aidan Turner; I have seen a little bit of the original series with Robin Ellis.

I'm looking to find the Robin Ellis version to compare. Interestingly, Robin Ellis plays the local magistrate in the Aiden Turner version.
