Anthony Hopkins in "The Elephant Man"

Squonk's post in another thread has prompted me to post a clip from one of the my favorite movies, The Elephant Man.  In this scene, the eyes of Dr. Treves (Anthony Hopkins) brim with tears upon seeing John Merrick (John Hurt), a.k.a. "the Elephant Man," and his terrible deformities for the first time:

I saw this on its initial release when I was about 11 and it is one of my earliest memories of being seriously moved by male tears.  Beautiful film and performances.

Thanks for responding, Squonk!  I'm always interested to hear about others' earliest memories of crying scenes.
