The last scene from this movie deserves a special place among crying scenes, I guess. I wish it had closer angles around his face so I can see his tears streaming down but it's
special nonetheless.

''I like crying. And now I not only wanna cry and show my crying to other people, I wanna just split myself down the middle and open my guts and just throw everything out!''

This is why I need to check the forums and not just the 'recent posts'--I miss stuff like this occasionally!

That was really quite beautiful. Tearing up with the son, sobbing in his wife's arms, and her gentle comforting words and rubbing his chest from behind like one would rub someone's back. It's all very sweet and sad and well done. Great find!
For those who can't access the site, here's the clip. Please excuse the occasional picture jitters--I couldn't get it to stop. They don't really interfere with the scene much anyway.

Don't mind me, I'm just here to fill my Lachrymatory of Holding.

Hugh said this was the most emotionally difficult and draining role he ever played.  They literally had psychiatrists on set to help the actors cope with the stuff playing this role brought up for them
