He is really excellent with the tears.  And, by my count, only John Simm and James McAvoy have more crying scenes in total.

Just love the way he cries, not just in this movie, but in all of his works.

He has another set of amazing crying scenes in the last episode of  Patrick Melrose just after he starts to talk about his abusive childhood.
Re-edit: And a short breakdown scene at the end of episode 1 .
