Crying Lovers / Best friends

The day arrives and it seems nearly unbelievable that I am in the church ready to walk down the aisle to get married to my best friend.

I am more nervous than I anticipated as I finally take a deep breath to calm my nerves as I start my way down the aisle to the alter. I look around to see the whole church packed with all our family and friends.

Next thing I know I'm standing at the alter opposite my fiance. Seeing his radiant face and breathing appearance I can feel tears of immense joy filling my eyes. I take a deep breath to try and hold back as I don't want to trigger him as I know he'd be embarrassed if he was to openly cry in front of everyone here.

I get so lost seeing her walk, it takes me a moment to see tears of joy desperately asking to slide down my still fiancée’s beautiful cheeks, before the priest begins the ceremony, with my fiancée still facing me, I lean and whisper: “My love, are your precious tears grounded? Or, why are you keeping them inside, feel free to allow them to slide down your beautiful cheeks, I promise to catch them all with my fingers or my lips.”

After a moment of him looking lovingly into my eyes at the alter he leaned in and discretely whispered in my ear asking why I wasn't letting my tears fall as he promised to lovingly take care of them, even in front of everyone.

"It's just that I didn't want you to be embarrassed as I know my tears would only trigger yours (even though I wouldn't mind seeing them). I mean you know just how much I love when you take care of my tears." And before I could get his response I felt a single thick tear slide from the middle of each of my eyes.

Hearing her then seeing her beautiful tears shining in under the temple’s light sends an impending impulse to take care of them, I slowly and lovingly lean and kiss her tears, kissing a tear streak from where I kissed the tear streak all the way to right under her eye, wiping her other streak with the back of my fingers from under her eye until where I kissed her tear.

I can’t help but widen my smile as I hear a general aww from the entire assembly.

Mear sec after my tears started their decent I saw him through my now blurry vision, lean in further and felt him kiss the streak on my left cheek all the way up to just under my eye. I felt my cheeks flush a bit as I heard the entire assembly erupt with a general 'awww'.

I tried to focus my attention solely on him and being in this perfect moment. I looked deep into his eyes to see them shining with impending tears of their own that were begging to be taken care of. (Does he let his tears fall/be taken care of, does he hold back, or does the ceremony start and distract him?)

As I kiss and wipe her wave of tears and make sure no streaks dry on their own, the ceremony starts and I put attention, not even trying to hide the tent that slowly formed in my pants.

The ceremony continues, a beautiful lecture from St. Paul about the way a husband is to love his wife and the way a wife has to love her husband is read, I instinctively bring the back of my fingers to my soon to be wife’s cheek (hoping to feel the wetness of her precious tears) as I feel my eyes filling with tears.

As soon as he lovingly kisses and wipes my tears the ceremony starts. As a lecture from St. Paul is read I feel the familiar feeling of more impending tears stinging the backs of my eyes before beginning to fill them again.

Without warning I feel the backs of his fingers on my now hot cheek. I blink sending a pair of tears sliding down the middle of both of my eyes and over his fingers. Instinctively I return the favor by placing the backs of my fingers on his cheek. ( Does he let his tears fall as promised or instinctively hold back?)

My heartbeat, still not recovered from the last time I wiped her precious tears in front of the entire church, starts increasing it rate once more as I feel a pair of hot, almost burning tears (I hope of love and joy) landing on my fingers. As I slowly slide my fingers up drying the thick tear streaks I feel a soft hand on my cheek inviting my tears to roll down my face.

I smile knowing only the priest is able to see me, allowing my tears to make their way freely down my cheeks for her to wipe (I hope she takes care of my other cheek before we face the assembly again).

As soon as my fingers touched his cheeks I almost immediately felt hot tears making their way across his cheeks. I couldn't help but freeze for a moment to drink in just how special this moment was and just how breathtaking he looked with tears/streaks adorning his cheeks.

I took a deep breath as I slowly ran the pads of my thumbs over his cheeks simultaneously sending another wave of tears down my cheeks.

"I love you." I whispered as we finally turned back to the entire assembly wondering if he'd let any more tears fall as it was by far the best moment of the ceremony yet.

As the lecture ends and the alleluia begins, she briefly turns to the assembly, which I take advantage of by kissing and wiping her precious tears and streaks before she turns to the priest.

The ring exchange moment arrives, as she starts saying her vows a river of tears quickly draws artistic streaks on her beautiful cheeks, which I wipe and kiss with all my love, causing another loud “awww” from the guests.
