Tom Hardy as Heathcliff, reacting to the news of his love Cathy's death. The scene starts at 51:12, gets seriously intense at 52:30.
Hardy is the most exciting and versatile actor I have seen since Gary Oldman and Daniel Day Lewis came on the scene. And he goes to some really dark, emotional places in a lot of his films. 


Climbing to a high chamber in a well of houses, he threw himself down in his clothes on a neglected bed, and its pillow was wet with wasted tears. -- A Tale of Two Cities
