She cries a reasonable amount IN the actual show, and it nearly always look real. I'll look for some clips.

Aw, really nice story! I'm not a huge fan of female crying, but this was very sweet. You Can't Take It With You is my favorite movie, haha.

Can I say that it completely depends? *laughs* It has to do a lot with the type of cry - the sound/the general look of the person's face with tears, etc. All three can be good, depending on circumstances. I'd say, though, uncontrollable stream is my favorite without specifics, just because it usually means the person is crying harder, and more likely sobbing.

Ooh! I haven't replied to this thread, yet.
I've only ever had two crying dreams, and both were lovely but too short. One was about a friend of mine, let's call him N. The details of what happened leading up to the crying are a bit fuzzy, but I remember we were sitting in this random, dark room, and there was this couch, and for whatever reason (I believe there was a discussion leading up to it, or something, but even right after I couldn't remember) he started crying. I hugged him, and while he didn't cry on my shoulder exactly, I kept patting his back until he was done. Very pleasant, though odd, because N is not someone I particularly *want* to see cry, or someone I'm particularly close to or think about often. Haha, I'm not sure why it was him.
The second was long, and complicated, and had a plot, and involved George Weasely from Harry Potter. He looked a bit like the Oliver Phelps version, but also a little bit like my own little mental picture of the character. I had to break him out of prison, or something like that, and he started crying because of Fred. I remember, even during the dream, my mind was all like "YES!!" because this was something I had read fanfiction about, daydreamed about, and it was lovely to experience it. Even in a dream. So, yeah, haha.
I find that, though crying dreams are always nice, dreams in general leave me depressed/uncomfortable if they're about people I know in real life. Because I suddenly can't look at the person the same way. Fictional characters and celebrities are different, though.

Really good idea! Definitely do it. Should we rate on other things, as well?

One of my good guy friends apparently cried after getting his results on finals... but I of course wasn't there to see it. The friend who told me about it is one who I've half told about this fetish (I told her I think it's cute when guys cried... she sort of didn't react...) and told me in great detail. ("And his eyes were all red... and then he ran into the other room..." I was half jealous, half furious because it didn't seem like she hadn't taken advantage of the situation and given him a hug
).
But yeah, it isn't a bad idea. Probably will lead to some results.

Ok, can somebody clarify something for me? At least a few of you guys are sneeze fetishists, right? So what's with the aversion to snot? I mean, I understand that there's a difference between sneezing and noseblowing, but seriously? I'm confounded.
I dunno, honestly. I'm a sneeze fetishist and thus have basically no aversion to snot. I wouldn't wish for it exactly, but I do think it adds to the vulnerability of things. I will say though, lots of sneeze fetishists are germaphobes (which I know is strange to understand, for me too), so that might has something to do with it.

Lol. My boyfriend is big on the Kleenex, he usually ends up saying, "I need a tissue." And usually we're inside and I can get one for him, but on a couple occasions we've been outside when he's crying and all I have to give him is an old receipt from my wallet.....he's a good sport, though.
And aww, wait, that's so incredibly adorable! :D I have to say, I read this scene in a book where the guy offers the girl his sleeve after she's been crying and, though I wish it'd been the other way around, I always found that really, really adorable.

LOVE that Brothers and Sisters scene <3. I was such a fan of that show before it got terrible... the scenes with Kevin and Tommy crying (and Robert's breakdown, though for some reason that one also makes me uncomfortable) are some of my favorites as well.
Also adore the Tom Hardy bit. I remember - I loved him so much after Inception, and finding that was just this amazing surprise.
Bleh, I had posted so many clips on the other forum, but I don't remember what all of them were! .
Anyway, this clip is my all-time favorite, and I know for a fact I never posted it on the other forum because, for some reason, I could never find it.
Dead Poets Society (HUGE SPOILERS, for the movie. Also, throwing up. But I'm the most emetephobic person ever and I could take it, so I wouldn't worry. It's not really shown, and there's basically no gagging sound.. ): I just love the way all the other guys hold him.

Thank you :D! I'm glad to be back! And glad to see you here too :D!
Edit: Oh, also, I saw One Day, and Anne Hathaway cries quite a bit. As you get further into the movie (it was this way in the book as well), she looks near-tears in almost every scene. And Jim Sturgess has the "lone tear" thing twice, and one lovely little breakdown scene (but of course his face is all bloody at the time...)

It's weird, my parents have a totally different view of my than my boyfriend and friends. The latter see me as a natural comforter and a nurturer, and my boyfriend sees me cry once in a while (not my friends so much). But I think my parents think I'm cold. I hate seeing them cry and feel really awkward and almost angry sometimes. They talk about how I never ever cry, I'm strong and stoic etc.
That's exactly my story too. My parents see me as sort of... not stony, because that's not my personality type, but my mother ALWAYS goes on and on about how "nothing moves me." Or we'll hear a sad song playing and she'll turn to me and say "Isn't that sad?"
And yeah, I find family members' crying very uncomfortably as well. Not with my cousins so much, since they're more like friends than family, but with most of my adult relatives... ick.
