It was Valentine’s Day night and me and Tristan were working in the shop

Isabel had come in with a date but she seemed a little down. I think I knew the reason as her companion seemed more interested in me than Isabel, which was a little embarrassing and annoying

More than anything I wanted her to be happy.

I focused on serving the other guests and didn't worry too much about Isabel. However it was noticeable that after they had dessert they didn't hang around for coffee but just left.

A single tear ran down my right cheek as I watched them go, but I wiped it away and continued the service

Isabel's pov:

It had been a while but I finally thought I was over Emily, us becoming only good friends. Come Valentine's Day I finally put myself out there and managed to find a date for the evening. Everything was way more expensive than I had thought so we just ended up eating at the coffee shop. It wasn't bad food, far from it and I figured it could give the shop a new customer. The unsettling thing was that I noticed my date was checking Enid out more than me. I didn't say anything to my date just promptly ended the evening after dinner.

The next day Emily and I met up to talk about our holiday. She was beaming about her incredible night which only made my night feel worse. I tried to speak but only managed to stammer out that it wasn't quite what I wanted as tears began to stream down the left side of my face. I explained that we ended up eating at the shop because everything was too expensive and that the whole time she was checking out Enid. She told me how sorry she was as we both  walked into the shop for work.

As soon as I got into the shop Tristan pulled me aside. We sit at the farthest table and he surprises me by asking me how I feel. I'm momentarily taken aback as I'm not exactly sure how he meant it (My date, my job or other personal issues).

I decide to start small. "I really like working here. Getting to know all the staff and custoners. I love being able to learn how to make new drinks." I begin trying to keep things up beat. "And I realize Enid must have told you about me coming here with my Valentine's date last night." I continue feeling a tiny lump forming in my throat. "The food here is really good, but that's not the reason." I giggled trying to delay my tears. "I didn't realize how expensive things were going to be." I continue finally taking a deep breath. "Unfortunately, you won't have a repeat customer. I mean things didn't go so well. My date was more interested in checking out Enid than focusing on me. You're lucky you have such a beautiful wife." I finish quickly as I can now feel tears begining to sting the backs of my eyes and my cheeks begin to flush.

Billie's POV

'I've got it babe' Gemma said to me. It was the night of the Oscars and we were getting ready to watch to see if The Circus of Adventure would be successful in winning Best Picture

Gemma paid for our pizzas and brought them through as I got the plates, cutlery and condiments ready. We started to watch and it wasn't long before the first Oscar was given out. We were both overjoyed when Maria won for Best Supporting Actress. It was the first acting prize the Adventure films had ever won and both me and my partner cried along with her as she accepted her trophy

We wiped our tears and continued to watch. The River of Adventure won in both its categories for Cinematography and Score - Lorne Balfe winning his third award for the latter category following his wins for The Castle of Adventure and The Mountain of Adventure. This meant that every film in the series had won at least one Oscar

The Circus of Adventure lost its next two categories making us both a little nervous and there was a surprise when Best Original Song was announced. As the nominees were announced the name of Sarah Fisher was read out as a nominee for her composition Count The Stars

'I recognise the name but I can't place her' Gemma said. Her song won the award and as she walked up to the stage, tears running down her cheeks we both looked at each other and said;

'Tassie!!' She had been in The Castle of Adventure but we had forgotten about her.

We had tears running down our cheeks too, as she emotionally accepted her unexpected prize and wished her former colleagues in the Adventure franchise good luck for the final three awards

And when the categories were announced they all won; Michael Bakewell for Adapted Screeplay - his second win in the category following his win for The Castle of Adventure. Sophia Bush for Best Director and finally the award for Best Picture

Seeing the producer go on stage with the four children was very emotional for us and tears streamed down our faces as he gave his speech. The Adventure franchise had won in 14 categories missing out only on the other three acting prizes. A brilliant result

Me and Gemma wiped our tears for the third and final time and shared a warm kiss. We were both tired and although Gemma told me to leave the rubbish behind and do it in the morning, I cleared it up anyway
