Zach Gilford (Matt Saracen from Friday Night Lights) has a subtle but long crying scene in the 4th episode of Netflix's Midnight Mass. Its an interesting watch and this years version of the Haunting of Hill House

My top choice is guy comforting another guy and close second is woman comforting a guy.
I like guy comforting a woman in certain cases because I find the protective, powerful man very attractive but it doesn't do the same thing for me that a guy crying does

Oh, you are in luck with Sherlock! Some great scenes in an even better series!
Also, Ruzek has a nice crying scene in the most recent episode of Chicago PD. Subtle with tears with Voight toward the end of the episode, but still more than we have seen from him before. (That show needs more male crying...ugh the potential)

Matt Bomer had some nice crying scenes too in that season, however, I found it more difficult to enjoy given his level of sanity. Somehow, that diminishes the appeal for me.
