Had a good but kinda frustrating observation the other day at work. Frustrating because I couldn't really see much and had to focus on work. So I'm temporarily working out of some extra space shared with another part of my company, and I have a little cubicle in the corner. I mostly don't know the two women who work for the other company very well, and kinda focus on my own work. Today one of them was crying off and on all day. She mostly kept running off to another room to make phone calls, and I could vaguely hear her crying on the phone. No full sobs, though sounded like she was trying to restrain it. I mostly couldn't see her face because of my cubicle walls, but the few times I passed her, she was very red, and I would occasionally hear her voice tremble when she was talking to her coworker. At one point I asked her if everything was ok, and she said "just some stuff at home", so I left it at that.

Jumping into an old thread - I actually experience kind of the same! I'm into physical tears too, but mostly as an expression of the emotions. The more actual emotion (and the more loss of self control involved) the better. I'm only mildly attracted to just the tears themselves - for example, I can't get into acting crying, it's kind of just like looking at an attractive person - pleasant to look at, but I need something more real.

I definitely am very guilty of this - but I usually go for something I genuinely like that also coincidentally could have parts that will definitely emotionally effect the person I'm with.

When I was younger I used to be really careful about hiding it. Then I realized that sharing it is the best way to get what I want from a romantic partner.

I'm in the early stages of a romantic relationship with a guy right now (who I've posted about before a couple of times) and I've tried being subtle about it but he's not taking the hint, so my plan is to literally sit down with him and tell him about it clearly. We're all adults and life is too short to beat around the bush with stuff like this. In my opinion of course.

That is true! Once I tell a partner, and they're someone who is comfortable making themselves cry, it usually leads to them wanting to plan watching a sad movie with me.
